Beware of Imposters

Recently, the existence of a fake White House website has come to my attention.

I hesitate to display a link because the last thing I want to do is to send people to this spoof site. However, you should visit that site so you can beware of the falsehoods.

The spurious site can be found at http://whitehouse.gov. Do not be fooled by the sham url that so closely resembles this website, whitehouse.gov1.info.

Probably the most fraudulent aspect of this bogus site is "THE BLOG". The posts there are written in third-person, as if some presidential flunkies wrote them. Apparently these charlatans are not clever enough to even try to emulate my Presidential prose. Frankly, their blog posts are downright boring.

The fake site is also missing some important information. Check out their Camp David page. It hardly has any useful information at all. Where are the behind-the-scene photos of Camp David? What about the secret underground tunnels or the all-important map of Camp David? Of course, you'll find all of that here on the real White House website.

Apparently, this fraud is widespread. Even some legitimate sites are mistakenly linking to that phony site. So take a minute, bookmark THIS site and come back often!
