Aloha APEC
It's great to be home from my triumphant four country Asian tour.
One of the
highlights of my trip was attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation
(APEC) Summit in Singapore.
These APEC Summits used to be a real
bore until they started having the world leaders dress up in the hosting country's native
attire.
Prior to that tradition, we couldn't even get the media to cover the
event. But now, the fun photos are breaking news. In Singapore, we wore a Peranakan-inspired blouse with a mandarin collar!
I am proud to announce that the 2011 APEC Summit will be held in my home state of Hawaii.
Help choose which traditional Hawaii costume the APEC leaders will wear for the big event.
