The Mustard from Hell

VP Biden points out that President Obama has his cheeseburger
I must be doing something right when the "Conservative Media Attack of the Day" concerns my choice of condiment on a burger.

A couple days ago, Joe and I had a hankering for a good 'ol American cheeseburger. I've been wanting to try out Ray's Hell Burger for some time now, so we fired up The Beast and headed out to Arlington.

We waited our turn in line and placed our orders. Joe wanted a Swiss cheeseburger with jalapeno peppers and ketchup. I wanted a cheddar cheeseburger with a spicy dijon mustard and lettuce/tomato. End of story, right?

The next day, the conservative airwaves were full of phrases like "fancy burger with a very special condiment"; "What kind of man orders a cheeseburger without ketchup but Dijon mustard?"; and "Dijon mustard? I think the president watched just a little bit too much television as a kid."

And my personal favorite: "That was yesterday, Barack Obama had a hamburger. I don't know what he may do today to prove -- to pass for human."

If this is the best they can come up with, they must like the way I'm handling the economy, the two wars, the healthcare crisis, etc.

By the way, we both ordered our burgers medium-well. I'm surprised the media didn't interpret this as some ominous indication of my secret knowledge of an upcoming ground beef E.coli outbreak. I guess that's next week's story.

Nope, this is not the official website of The White House. It's a parody of whitehouse.gov.  No person, department, or agency of the U.S. Government approved, endorsed, or authorized this site. No animals were harmed while making this website (except maybe that one time when I was a little late feeding my dog his dinner).
